Kiyoshi AJIMA  ( Representative & Senior partner)

Kiyoshi Ajima graduated with a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Electro-Communications in 1978, and obtained MBA with Information System Certificate from New Hampshire College in U.S.A. in1995. He had work experience in US law firm with which KISA was associated. He became a partner of KISA in 2003.

Ajima specializes in the technical fields of mechanical and electrical engineering and information technology. He also has a considerable experience in design registration. He obtained an additional qualification to pursue infringement litigations of industrial property rights in 2004.

Ajima is a member of APAA and JPAA.

Kenji Murakami graduated from Rikkyo University with a Degree in Economics. Murakami engaged in the work of trademark, copyright and contracts in IBM Japan before joining KISA. He became a partner of KISA in 2009.

Yoshinori NISHINO

Yoshinori Nishino specialized in trademark. He graduated from Kansai University graduate school with a Master Degree in Law in 1989.

From 1989 to 2004, he engaged in trademark, design patent and contract work at Panasonic Intellectual Property Division, engaged in global trademark protection. From 2005 to 2017, he engaged in Brand Management work at Panasonic Brand Communication Division, and played an important role in branding and brand licensing to affiliated companies.

Norio TAKANASHI   (Advisor)

Norio Takanashi graduated from Rikkyo University with a Degree in Law in 1974 and started the IP profession with private practice in a patent attorneys firm. He entered a major patent attorneys firm as an associate and acted as a manager of its trademark section. He joined KISA in 2003 as a partner.

Takanashi has a wide and deep experience in the protection of trademarks. He acted as the chairman or deputy-chairman of the trademark-related committees of JPAA (Japan Patent Attorneys Association) and JTA (Japan Trademark Association). including the chairman of JPAA's Trademark Committee and JTA's Committee on Foreign Countries' Trademark Laws. He is a temporary member of Industrial Property Council and a candidate for arbitrators, mediators and umpires of Japan Intellectual Property Arbitration Center. He obtained an additional qualification to pursue infringement litigations of industrial property rights in 2004. He published a book introducing latest and remarkable trademark court cases in co-authorship in 2006.

Takanashi is a member of AIPPI, APAA, JTA and JPAA.
